Exalt Records was established in 2003 by two friends and was initially set up to release music produced by friends and associates of Brighton based record store Hedonizm Records. The Altered Images EP was the first release in July 2003, a handful of releases followed until the label was mothballed in 2009. In 2018 the label returned after a ten year hiatus and was actively releasing music until the end of 2024.
