British record label founded in 1990 by William Orbit and Disc O'Dell . It primarily released progressive house music and helped to spearhead the genre.
I.R.S. Records had a long history with Orbit as an artist so when he launched Guerilla, I.R.S. struck a distribution deal for the US. I.R.S. executive Rob Di Stefano took control of what Guerilla titles were released in the US and between 1991 and 1994 they were issued on Di Stefano's TRIBAL America label. By 1994, Tribal was soaring and when the Guerilla deal was up for renewal, Di Stefano rejected it, partly due to high licensing fees. Without that funding, Guerilla experienced financial problems and closed down. The company was dissolved in 2003.
