"playHOUSE" was founded in September 1993 by Heiko Schäfer aka M/S/O and Atanasios Christos Macias aka Ata . It was distributed via Neuton.
Playhouse was founded as a sisterlabel of Klang Elektronik . It focused more on the house side of things, while Klang Elektronik releases music that is more techno-orientated. The label is a collaboration with Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke (aka Acid Jesus or Sensorama ), who control the output of Klang Elektronik.
