March 8, 2007 | Mixes
Slightly more laid-back offering this time, ‘Brown Study’ is filled with calming spacious strings and deeper than deep basslines. It’s also a nod towards some of the older deeprhythms mixes, mainly #20 and #29. The mix certainly is not as angular as the previous two.
All tracks are recent, but timeless. The mood is somewhat meditative, but pulsating basslines and percussion maintain the attention. As for the tracks – I just can’t get enough of Uncle Abner’s Blackmoon EP, it’s one of the best releases to come out this year, check it out. As for labels, Drumpoet Community won me over instantly – gorgeus stuff. There also a mysterious track by Audio Alchemist, whom I’ve never heard of before. A little googling didn’t provide any results so if you happen to know more, please share your information. It’s available digitally at Juno Download at least.
As always, all comments are appreciated!

Hey there, I’m Timo Deeprhythms the founder of Deeprhythms.com. I’ve DJed & curated the site for more than two decades. I’m always looking for music to share, be it old, new, forgotten or emerging.
The sole idea of this site is to promote a little lesser known underground electronic music producers, DJ’s and labels. I usually gravitate towards ethereal, somewhat cosmic end of the electronic music spectrum and I warmly welcome all the surprises I’m thrown at by inviting international guests for the site.
Deeprhythms started with deep house but has since broadened the scope to include all varieties of electronic music.
Recently, I’ve become involved in three labels. I head Echocentric Records, do a joint label with R.A.N.D. Muzik called RMECR and I’m the other half of Coymix Ltd together with Steffan T. The same basic ethos behind those too.
