January 2, 2006 | Mixes
2006 will be a turning point for deeprhythms.com, I guess. Mixing has not been a top priority for a long time and somehow, I feel that the time might be right to pull the plug and call it quits. But not just yet. It’s the same old song and dance – the lack of interesting releases on vinyl, the question of how to spend my free time blah blah.
Then again, there are all these little independent online labels pumping out crazy stuff and I could always focus on showcasing their talent. When you listen to this mix, it might also be appropriate to rethink the tagline of this site – “deep house”? Hardly. Just good music, good electronic music to be specific.
Anyways, enough ranting. This mix has lots of analogue sounds and techno-ish elements in it. It’s just something that pleases my ears – nevermind the mixing or the dirty needles, enjoy the music. There’s even a tempo change in the middle! And oh, all the best for 2006.

Hey there, I’m Timo Deeprhythms the founder of Deeprhythms.com. I’ve DJed & curated the site for more than two decades. I’m always looking for music to share, be it old, new, forgotten or emerging.
The sole idea of this site is to promote a little lesser known underground electronic music producers, DJ’s and labels. I usually gravitate towards ethereal, somewhat cosmic end of the electronic music spectrum and I warmly welcome all the surprises I’m thrown at by inviting international guests for the site.
Deeprhythms started with deep house but has since broadened the scope to include all varieties of electronic music.
Recently, I’ve become involved in three labels. I head Echocentric Records, do a joint label with R.A.N.D. Muzik called RMECR and I’m the other half of Coymix Ltd together with Steffan T. The same basic ethos behind those too.
